Eyewitnesses described chaotic scenes, with some claiming the car “ploughed through” the crowd, though this has not been officially verified. Several individuals were reportedly injured, with at least three people seen being taken away for medical treatment.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer called the incident “appalling” and expressed his concern for those affected, thanking emergency responders for their swift action.

Authorities have urged the public not to speculate on the circumstances surrounding the collision as investigations continue.
