Owen Cooper debuted as an actor in the Netflix miniseries Adolescence in March 2025, playing Jamie Miller, a 13-year-old who is suspected of murder.  The Evening Standard wrote that “his is a performance that may be the best debut ever seen by a child actor” in reference to the significant praise he received for the role.  In Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, which is scheduled for release in 2026, he has been chosen to play a young Heathcliff.
