It was Sister Bliss, a DJ and producer, Rollo Armstrong, a producer and composer, and Maxi Jazz, a famous vocalist who is recognised for his profound spoken-word approach, who came up with the idea for the band. The popular single “Insomnia,” which became a defining track of the dance scene in the 1990s, was featured on their debut album, which was released in 1996 and was titled “Revival.”
Over the course of the late 1990s and early 2000s, Faithless continued to make albums that were commercially successful. These albums included “Sunday 8PM” (1998) and “Outrospective” (2001), both of which contributed to the band’s establishment as a prominent figure in the electronic music world.
