OJ SIMPSON DEAD

OJ Simpson, the ex-American football player who was acquitted of double homicide in a highly debated case, has passed away at the age of 76, according to his family.

Orenthal James Simpson (OJ) gained prominence as a collegiate football player prior to his career in the National Football League (NFL).

In 1995, he was found innocent of killing of his prior spouse Nicole Brown and a friend in a highly captivating trial that captivated the attention of the American public.

Famously, OJ Simpson fled his arrest later, explaining his getaway was due to a collapse of his mental health.

In 2008, he received a 33-year prison sentence for committing armed robbery. He was discharged in 2017.

The immediate family of Simpson announced on Twitter/X that he passed away from cancer on Wednesday.

The statement indicated that he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren at the time of his death.
