Nick Fuentes and the rise of the Fascist Alt Far-Right of America First

Nicholas Fuentes is a white nationalist leader, organiser, and podcaster who aspires to create a white nationalist alternative to the mainstream Republican Party. Nicholas Fuentes rose to prominence after leaving Boston University in 2017 after after getting “threats” in connection with his presence at the white nationalist “Unite the Right” demonstration in Charlottesville, Virginia.

He has now risen to prominence as a major white supremacist commentator and organiser who has brought diverse elements of the alt right together. In 2017, Fuentes launched his livestream programme America First with Nicholas J. Fuentes, which has now grown into a cult following.

These followers, whom Fuentes refers to as “Groypers” or the “Groyper Army,” regard their racist ideas as crucial for the preservation of white, European-American identity and culture. They think that the mainstream conservative movement is just as responsible for the destruction of white America as liberals and the left, and that Groypers represent the actual conservative movement’s future. Army of the Far-Right Fuentes Groypers, also known as the Groyper Army, are a group of white nationalist and far-right activists, provocateurs, and internet trolls known for their attempts to mainstream far-right politics in the United States, their involvement in the 2021 US Capitol attack and the protests that preceded it, and their extremist views.

Nick Fuentes and his Alt Far-Right followers have emerged through their online activity. He hosts a show online representing the far-right of the America First

They’re notorious for going against other conservative organisations and people whose goals they consider to be too moderate and un-nationalist. The movement has been described as White nationalist; homophobic, fascist, sexist, and anti-Semitic, whose desire is to rebrand the alt-right movement,

Despite the fact that Groypers are a loosely defined group with no official leadership structure, they are widely thought to be followers of Nick Fuentes, a white nationalist, far-right political analyst, and podcaster. Michelle Malkin, a conservative journalist and blogger, has dubbed herself the “mother” of the Groyper movement.

The Groyper movement divided in February 2021 between Nick Fuentes and Patrick Casey amid suspicions of government informants infiltrating and doxing during Fuentes’ 2021 America First Political Action Conference.

Groypers are staunch conservatives who criticise more mainstream conservative groups for not being sufficiently nationalist and pro-white. Groypers and its leaders have attempted to portray their worldview as “Christian conservatism,” “traditional values,” and “American nationalism.”

Some Groypers downplay the extreme nature of their views and teach others about using entryism and radicalization strategies that gradually expose their targets to more extreme ideas. Despite its attempts to portray itself as more moderate, the organisation is largely regarded as racist, antisemitic, and homophobic.

Groypers blame the mainstream conservative movement as well as the political left for “killing white America,” according to the Anti-Defamation League. They are anti-immigration and anti-globalization. Groypers oppose feminism and LGBTQ rights and promote “traditional” values and Christianity.

Hmm, do you think so? It’s certainly received complaints in the press from viewers concerned about giving him a platform. I think though it’s good to know who aspires for political power in all parties myself. Purely out of curiousity.
