Wild or Pet – Take the Quiz?

We’d probably all agree that wild animals should not be kept as pets. They belong in their natural environment and can only suffer if they are kept in captivity.

But how can we know if an animal is wild? Does a monkey become a suitable pet just because it has been bred in captivity? If we see a parrot in a pet shop, does that mean it is happy to live in a cage instead of a jungle? What about snakes – they don’t have feelings like us, so surely it’s ok to keep them?

The Wildlife or Pet? challenge has some of the answers.

The quiz will test your knowledge on animal welfare and may even provide a few surprises.
