The G8 call for Gadafi to Go

Leaders within the G8 Summit, meeting in France this week have agreed that it is time for Libyan leader Col. Muammar Gaddafi must now step down as leader. The latest voice for this was Russia who have previously criticised NATO’s involvement in the campaign to oust the leader and protect the rebel disenting forces loyal to Gadafi – Russia has said that Col. Gadafi has lost all legitimacy as a leader of his country where many want him to give up power. Obama Greets Ireland

President Obama visited Ireland today and gave an address to the people of Dublin. Earlier he also visited the small irish town of Moneygall where his Great Grandfather lived before emigrating to America in 1850, and sampled a pint of Guinness in the local public house in the town. During his visit to the capital he met with the Irish President Mary MacAlees and also met with the Irish premier (Taoiseach) Enda Kenny to discuss among other things Northern Ireland and the Republics progress in the peace process.
