Born in Stoke-on-Trent in ’74 to pub-running parents who split when he was three, Robbie grew up with his mum and stepsister. Cheeky lad, always in trouble at school but lit up on stage – stole the show as the Artful Dodger in Oliver!. Joined Take That at sixteen, left at twenty-one, then dropped Angels and Let Me Entertain You, turning into a global superstar.
Battled booze and drugs hard – got brought back from the brink more than once – but clawed his way through rehab. Married Ayda in 2010, they’ve got four kids now, living that family life. Still touring, he just dropped a new album called Britpop this year, and he’s heading out on tour again. Proper comeback king, still going strong in his fifties!
