A teenager suffered a severe gunshot wound, prompting the apprehension of a man on suspicion of attempted murder.
On Friday at approximately 16:15 BST, the 17-year-old youth sustained an injury in Hazel Wood, an area near Westcott Way in Corby.
The adolescent was anticipated to recover, according to Northamptonshire Police. The 20-year-old male was apprehended on Monday evening and is currently in police custody.

Det Ch Insp Liz Basham stated, “We have been working tirelessly since the incident occurred at the end of last week, and I trust that the news of this arrest will offer some solace to our local community in Corby.”
“We would continue to urge anyone who witnessed the event or has information or footage of the incident to come forward.” She stated that officers were still conducting “reassurance patrols” in and around the Hazelwood area.
