Sir Anthony Hopkins has reached a milestone in his sobriety and wants to encourage anyone else struggling with addiction. He urges them to ‘get help’ if they need it and to ‘live their life, be proud of their life’.

To those watching, he said: ‘Be proud of yourself, don’t let yourself be put down, and if you need help, talk to someone’.

Sir Anthony Hopkins was met with a wealth of love and support in the comments, with model Naomi Campbell wishing him well as she also commented on her gratitude for over a decade of sobriety.

Meanwhile Michelle Heaton from pop group Liberty X shared a montage of pictures from the moment she was rushed to hospital after collapsing amid a battle with alcoholism. The Gateshead singer posted to her 150K followers about how happy she now is in recovery from addiction.

She posted to her Instagram followers a beaming photo of herself; her husband, Hugh Hanley and their loved-ones enjoying a meal together at Christmas as was celebrating Christmas after passing over 600 day milestone of recovery.
