According to a spokesperson from the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, on Saturday, June 8, a drone strike targeted and damaged two of Russia’s most advanced Sukhoi Su-57 multi-purpose aircraft, as reported by Andrii Yusov.
“Indeed, regarding the confirmation of the damage, we can now affirm that one Su-57 aircraft has substantial damage, while the other has minor damage.” “It is probable that it will be feasible to restore it in a shorter duration,” Yusov asserted.
Additionally, he emphasised that this incident marked the initial instance of Su-57 aircraft being targeted.
These fighters are the most recent additions to Russia’s Air Force and are highly regarded as symbols of national pride.
On June 9, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine announced that a Russian Su-57 aircraft was targeted and hit at the Akhtubinsk airstrip.
Subsequently, Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Ukrainian defence intelligence officer acknowledged that not only one but two Su-57 aircraft were struck simultaneously.
