A pro-IS media channel has published posters calling for attacks at stadiums hosting quarter-final ties on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Uefa, the governing body of European football, is aware of the threats but has confirmed that games in Madrid, Paris, and London will proceed as planned.

Spain’s sports minister, Pilar Alegría, has issued a message of “calm” ahead of the games in Madrid, stating that “more than 2,000 police and civil guard officers” are being deployed.
The pro-IS channel also shared images of the Emirates Stadium in London, the Bernabeu and Metropolitano Stadiums in Madrid, and the Parc des Princes Stadium in Paris.
The Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner and head of the Violent Crime Task Force of the Met, Ade Adelekan, reassured the public that they have a robust policing plan in place for the match and is working closely with the club’s security team to ensure a peaceful match.
