Epstein’s Doctor: Inside Bruce Moskowitz’s Role in His Network

By Staff Reporter

Freshly released documents from the United States Department of Justice have once again cast a spotlight on the sprawling network surrounding the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, revealing detailed communications with his long-time physician, Bruce Moskowitz.

The newly disclosed files, part of a massive archive released under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, contain emails, text messages and medical correspondence that illustrate the unusually close relationship between Epstein and the Florida-based doctor.

Investigators reviewing the material say Moskowitz appears repeatedly in the records as a trusted medical adviser to Epstein, helping coordinate healthcare arrangements not only for the disgraced financier himself but also for individuals in his social circle.

A Personal Physician

Moskowitz, an internal medicine specialist practising in Palm Beach County, was described in the files as a physician Epstein frequently consulted on health matters.

Emails between the two men discuss medical tests, treatment options and referrals to other doctors, sometimes at prestigious institutions such as the Mayo Clinic. In some messages, Moskowitz appears to offer guidance on arranging consultations or facilitating access to specialised medical services.

One exchange referenced discussions about medical equipment and the possibility of setting up emergency facilities on Epstein’s private Caribbean island, Little St James.

The correspondence also included routine health discussions. Medical records referenced in the document release suggest Epstein sought treatment and monitoring for several issues, including persistently low testosterone levels and other medical concerns.

Donations and Social Links

The files also show a personal and social dimension to the relationship.

Epstein invited Moskowitz to visit his New Mexico ranch and communicated with him about dinners and travel. Financial records indicate that Epstein donated significant sums to a healthcare foundation connected to the doctor, with reported contributions exceeding $200,000.

While the documents reveal extensive contact between the two men, none of the material released so far directly accuses Moskowitz of criminal wrongdoing.

A Connection to Washington

What has drawn additional scrutiny is Moskowitz’s role in shaping policy discussions during the presidency of Donald Trump.

Moskowitz was reportedly part of an informal group of advisers sometimes referred to as the “Mar-a-Lago Crowd,” a trio of businessmen who wielded significant influence over policy decisions within the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.

Though none of the men held official government positions, critics argued the arrangement gave private individuals unusual sway over federal veterans’ healthcare policy.

The dual role of Epstein’s personal physician also participating in high-level policy discussions has raised questions among investigators and political observers about the broader reach of Epstein’s network.

A Vast Network Still Under Examination

The Justice Department’s latest disclosure included millions of documents related to Epstein’s contacts with academics, politicians, business leaders and medical professionals.

Since Epstein’s death in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges, journalists and investigators have been piecing together the many relationships that surrounded him. Each new document release reveals another thread in a network that extended far beyond finance and into politics, science and medicine.

For now, the files add another name to the complex story of how Epstein operated within elite circles for decades before his arrest. And they serve as a reminder that the full scope of his connections may still be unfolding.
